babinski.de is operated by the babinski team at ANS E-Trade GmbH. The editorial selection of products is based on the range of products originally operated by students or doctors and is continued in close cooperation with clinically active physicians.
 

And how was it with babinski.de?

And what was that about babinski.de?
As probably one of the first online shops ever, babinski.de was founded in 2001 by Dr. Robert M. Radke (a medical student in Witten at the time). The shipping company was set up and operated in collaboration with fellow students alongside their studies. All products were personally tested in everyday clinical life or rated as highly recommended by fellow students.

During their studies, the team had been able to experience a lot of " problem-oriented learning" and " bedside teaching" in the clinic and therefore developed a penchant for clinically practical things (such as good stethoscopes, pocket books, ECG compasses, etc.) at an early stage. There were also recommendations from junior doctors and AIPs in the clinical blocks and internships, tips from fellow students and the occasional insider products brought along from the United States.

The founders ran and maintained the shop alongside their studies for quite a while. Although as part-time workers they were of course not able to deliver anywhere near as quickly as Amazon and Co., they made a name for themselves with good service and, above all, good products. They could be particularly proud of the emergency medicine and lifestyle areas.

However, the more time the clinical routine took up, the more it became clear that a new solution had to be found. The offer from the favorite bookseller frohberg in Berlin (Thieme & Frohberg GmbH) came at just the right time: why not combine the tried and tested babinski concept with frohberg's first-class service? For several years, the web shop was then operated in a productive cooperation between the founder and frohberg . At the end of 2006, the babinski team, which had worked together for years, took over the business operations at frohberg completely, while the content design was carried out as usual in close cooperation with students and clinicians.

After frohberg  decided in the course of 2011 to concentrate on its actual core business, babinski.de was handed over to consols GmbH in November 2011. consols GmbH continues to be responsible for the babinski.de web shop as a strong and well-known brand. The shop is continuously expanded and updated. Current and new products are introduced together with medical professionals. In August 2013, babinski.de was awarded the title of "Authorized Dealer for Littmann Stethoscopes"
by 3M Germany and offers the complete Littmann product range.

Since January 2019, babinski has been supported and further developed by the experienced team at ANS E-Trade GmbH. Constantly on the lookout for new, innovative products, the face of babinski.de will always adapt to new requirements.
