The 3M™ Littmann® Lightweight II SE Stethoscope provides reliable acoustic performance for blood pressure measurements and routine examinations of adult patients. At 118 grams, this is the lightest of all Littmann stethoscopes for adults, meaning it can be comfortably worn by nursing staff all day. The Lightweight II SE Stethoscope is an entry-level instrument that has a surprising number of exceptional features, such as an adjustable dual-frequency diaphragm, a two-sided chestpiece and adjustable ear hooks. It is a good choice for healthcare professionals such as registered nurses, registered nurses and nursing trainees. The adjustable dual-frequency membrane technology - an invention of 3M - allows clinical staff to control the membrane by varying the contact pressure of the chest piece so that different frequency ranges can be heard. For low-frequency sounds, press the chest piece lightly onto the patient; for high-frequency sounds, increase the contact pressure on the chest piece. This time-saving feature allows the practitioner to focus more on the patient, and the combination of cold protection ring and membrane provides patients with the highest level of comfort. The durable tubing retains its shape and flexibility even when stored in a coat pocket. The spring tension of the ear hooks can be easily adjusted to your own needs by squeezing or pulling them apart. The soft ear tips adapt individually to the ear and thus enable an excellent acoustic seal while being comfortable to wear. The ear tips fit tightly onto the ends of the ear hooks, so some force is required to remove them for safety reasons. The tubing material does not contain natural rubber latex, which is beneficial for medical personnel and patients with sensitive skin. To protect people and the environment, it also contains no phthalate plasticizers. The Lightweight II SE Stethoscope is made in the USA to ensure consistently high quality. It comes complete with large soft eartips and instructions.
