The 3M™ Littmann® Master Cardiology™ Stethoscope features adjustable dual-frequency diaphragm technology, a 3M invention that allows clinicians to control the diaphragm to hear different frequency ranges by varying the contact pressure of the chest piece. Unlike double-sided models, no flipping and repositioning of the chest piece is required. For low-frequency sounds, press the chest piece lightly onto the patient; for high-frequency sounds, increase the contact pressure on the chest piece. This time-saving feature allows the practitioner to focus more on the patient, and the cold protection ring provides patients with maximum comfort. The spring tension of the ear hooks can be easily adjusted to your own needs by squeezing or pulling them apart. The soft ear tips adapt individually to the ear and thus enable an excellent acoustic seal while being comfortable to wear. The ear tips fit tightly onto the ends of the ear hooks, so some force is required to remove them for safety reasons. The next generation of durable tubing retains its shape and flexibility even when stored coiled up in coat pockets. It ensures a longer lifespan of the stethoscope as it has improved resistance to skin oils and alcohol. It is also less susceptible to contamination. The tubing material does not contain natural rubber latex, which is beneficial for medical personnel and patients with sensitive skin. To protect people and the environment, it also contains no phthalate plasticizers. The Master Cardiology Stethoscope is made in the USA to ensure consistently high quality. It comes complete with large and small soft eartips, adapters for special procedures and instructions.
